Our Player Development Academies prepare participants for the potential to play on one of our travel-select (Green Wave) teams in future seasons. The curriculum for these age groups includes an introduction to a variety of soccer cultures; such as the Spanish culture’s short passing game and agile movements, Brazilian quick footwork and dribbling, Germanic defense and physicality, the English style of direct play, and the tactical focus traditionally seen in Italian soccer. Communication, possession, and soccer terminology are strongly emphasized concepts and more advanced SAQ (Speed, Agility, & Quickness) is a continuing component. The clinic progresses to small-sided games toward the final weeks of the curriculum.
