The Big Swim 2010
On Saturday, April 24, 2010, Asphalt Green hosted the 15th Annual Big Swim Benefit—The Big Swim Under the Big Top—for supporters of the Waterproofing program. The Waterproofing program is a partnership with the New York City public schools, agencies and organizations that teaches children to swim and be safe in the water. Since the program began in 1993, more than 30,000 children from low-income households have participated in the program for free.

More than 200 guests attended the tented luncheon, hosted by Triple Gold Medalist Rowdy Gaines and Canadian Olympian Nikki Dryden. The benefit began with a fun-filled Olympian Exhibition featuring synchronized diving, the U.S. National Synchronized Swim Team, and a relay with our Olympians and Waterproofing students swimming together. This 15th anniversary celebration was the greatest show on earth!
