How do I register for classes?
Only in person and online registrations will be accepted on the first day of Priority and Open Registrations.
There are 3 ways to register: online, in person, or by phone.

- Phone registration is available with a credit card only. Please call the Registration Office at 212.369.8890 ext. 2080. There is a $5.00 handling fee for phone registrations.
- IN PERSON
In person and online registrations only will be accepted the on first day of Priority and Open Registrations. Phone registrations will be processed in the order received beginning the second day of registration. Full payment is required at time of registration. Checks should be made payable to “Asphalt Green, Inc.” There is a $25.00 fee for returned checks.
Am I eligible for Priority Registration?
You are eligible for Priority Registration if you are currently enrolled in the current term or you are an annual Asphalt Green member.
Do I have to be a member of Asphalt Green to register for classes?
No, although annual members receive a preferred rate and priority registration for certain classes.
What type of membership qualifies for a reduced rate on Program Classes?
Family I & Family II membership types receive preferred pricing on kid’s program classes. Preferred rates for adult program classes are available for all annual Asphalt Green members.
What is a Promotion Code?
A promotional code is a seven-letter code which relates to a special offer.
How do I know which class to register for in the upcoming term?
Classes are generally sectioned by sport, age, ability, and goals. Please refer to the catalog or the detailed class descriptions on our website. In some cases, prior approval is required before registering for a class. Call our Registration Desk at 212.369.8890 ext. 2080 to speak to a representative for more details.
Is there a reduced rate for seniors?
Asphalt Green offers selected courses to adults 62 years or older at reduced rates. This rate does not apply to specialty programs, workshops or special events. Proof of age (such as Medicare card, driver’s license or passport) is required upon registration. The reduced rate may not be used in combination with any other offer.
What is your refund policy?
All refund requests must be submitted in writing to the Registration Office. Refunds are computed from the date received (not postmarked).
Please note that a $15 handling fee will be charged for requested refunds, class transfers, and cancellations.
The program refund schedule is as follows:
- 100% refund or credit: written request must be received 1 week prior to the first scheduled class.
- 75% refund or credit: written request must be received 2 days prior to the second scheduled class.
NO REFUNDS OR CREDITwill be granted after the second scheduled class session. Pro-rated fees are not available for late registration. All Asphalt Green programs are subject to change or cancellation. Asphalt Green is not responsible for providing make-ups, credits, or issuing refunds for programs missed as a result of illness, emergencies or other events beyond the control of Asphalt Green. Please allow four to six weeks from receipt for processing a refund request. The handling charge for all requested refunds is $15.00. Registration handling fees are not refundable. For some programs, such as year-long programs and camps, there may be exceptions which will supersede the above policy. Credits expire 1 year from the computed date. Credits may be redeemed over the phone or in-person.
NO REFUNDS will be granted for private lessons; credits only.
PERSONAL TRAINING All personal training sessions are non-refundable and non-transferable. The following conditions apply for personal training package purchases: 6- or 12-session packages must be completed within 90 days of the purchase date. 25-session packages must be completed within 180 days of the purchase date. Packages may not be split between clients. Sessions may be broken into half-hour segments by agreement with the trainer.
MASSAGE THERAPY, PILATES PRIVATE TRAINING, YOGA PRIVATE TRAINING All cancellations for massage therapy, pilates private training, and yoga private training must be made at least 24-hours before the appointment to avoid forfeiture of the entire fee.
Do you ever cancel classes?
Asphalt Green reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment. Cancellation decisions may be made up to the third week of classes. Every attempt will be made to inform those registered of the cancellation. When possible, Asphalt Green will provide an alternate class. If this is not possible, a credit or refund will be issued to the registrant.
Should Asphalt Green cancel a class due to an unforeseen, uncontrollable circumstance, (i.e pool closure), we will make every effort to provide a make-up. In the event a make-up cannot be offered, a credit will be issued upon request. Credits are kept on file for one full year. A credit letter will not be mailed. Credits must be redeemed in person at the Registration Office prior to registering for a new class.
What is your make-up policy?
Classes meet on specific days and times. Attendance to scheduled classes is the responsibility of the participant. Refunds, make-up classes or attendance to a different class will not be offered when the absence has been the sole responsibility of the participant. In the case that Asphalt Green cancels a class due to an unforeseen, uncontrollable circumstance, we will make every effort to provide a make-up class. In the event a make-up cannot be offered, a credit will be issued upon request.
Do you ever close due to adverse weather conditions?
Asphalt Green will make every effort to be open in inclement weather. We reserve the right to cancel classes due to inclement weather and no make-ups, credits, or refunds will be granted. Please call our Weather Hotline 212.369.8890, before coming to Asphalt Green at such times.
If NYC Public Schools are closed or allow for early dismissal due to inclement weather, program classes will be cancelled and no make-up classes, credits, or refunds will be granted. Asphalt Green reserves the right to cancel program classes due to inclement weather during days Public Schools are not in session.
Winter term outdoor classes are subject to cancellation should Asphalt Green deem weather conditions inappropriate. Make-up classes are not guaranteed and no refunds will be granted. However, a credit will be issued upon request for the third or more cancelled classes due to inclement weather of the term. I'm having an issue signing my child for a class online. It's not showing my child's name as the participant. It only shows my name.
You will need to add your child to your account. To do this, login to your account; then, go to “Edit Profile” and click "Add a new person to account." Fill out the form to add a new person to your account. Once this is done, you will be able to see your child’s name in the drop down menu and you may complete the class registration.
I'm trying to register my child but it's saying I'm too old for the class.

How do I add a new child to my account?
Click on the Login to Account link. Login with your username and password, then click on “Edit Profile.” Click on "Add a new person to account" and add your child's information.
At what age must my child use the gender-appropriate locker room?
Children age 5 years and older must use gender-appropriate locker rooms. The family restroom on the pool deck is available for those families with children over 5 years who require assistance.
Does a parent have to be in the water with the child?
Yes. Parents must accompany children ages 0-3 years in the water for Water Babies, Advanced Water Babies, Water Tots, Advanced Water Tots, and Water Sprites.
