Designed for athletes of all levels, Asphalt Green’s AntiGravity® Aerial classes will help you stretch and strengthen your body while suspended in air in the AntiGravity® Hammock. The AntiGravity® Hammock is a structural fabric connected from two overhead points, like a swing or soft trapeze. Asphalt Green offers two classes: AntiGravity® Aerial Yoga and AntiGravity® Fitness.
AntiGravity® Aerial Yoga: Experience yoga in a new way. Using the AntiGravity® Hammock, this class will allow you to hold poses longer, stretch better, and put less strain on muscles and joints while practicing yoga.
AntiGravity® Aerial Fitness: Explore the freedom of movement that comes from doing exercises suspended in the AntiGravity® Hammock. While using the hammock, participants will perform targeted but gentle resistance exercises (like squats and pushups) without strain on joints. The aerial exercises executed in class will help participants with limited mobility develop more strength, mobility, and balance.
Suggested Clothing: For your comfort in the hammock, students should wear leggings and shirts with sleeves that cover the under arms.
