About Youth Water Polo:
The AGUA Water Polo Club is designed for athletes 7-18 years old, welcoming beginners through Junior Olympians. We offer a USA Water Polo certified, select competitive team in the Northeast Zone, and coed instructional programs focused on helping athletes master the developmental components and fundamental skills of Water Polo.
AGUA Water Polo aims to create a culture of respect, accountability, and discipline through world-class coaching. We develop athletes who compete at the highest levels of the sport and strive to set up our athletes for success in and outside of the pool.
Instructional Programs
Led by our team of nationally recognized coaches, our club leverages a holistic curriculum designed to help athletes master all the developmental components of water polo. We run coed instructional programs, with alternating practice days for technique, conditioning, and other fundamental skills.
Our Programming runs from September through July. Attending practice is at the athlete's discretion, but we encourage all users to participate as much as possible.
Competitve Teams
Our competitive youth team practices year-round and participates in multiple tournaments throughout the year. As members of a USA Water Polo-sanctioned program, any athlete interested in gameplay is required to register with USA Water Polo. Athletes interested in trying out for our competitive team can consult with our coaching staff to establish the best course of action for enrollment.
Practice Only Option
Alternatively, athletes in our competitve teams and insutrctional programs can also opt to participate in practice only, so long as they remain committed to development and uphold team values. Practices are multiple times per week, with exceptions for holidays and special schedules. Select practice dates, including our annual facility maintenance, are canceled based on facility closures and preset events. and are not prorated. The coaching staff will communicate all notices of modified scheduling directly.
Prospective athletes can choose between our annual or monthly registration options.
Annual registrations are based on a team-driven program model and guarantee program access for the full 11-month season. Annual athletes are billed at the point of sale, and payment plans are available. Annual registration is available at a discounted rate but with no cancellation policy. Monthly registration offers flexibility for athletes who cannot commit to a full year of programming. Monthly registration is limited in capacity and includes a surcharge, but allows for more seasonal participation and exploration of the sport. Monthly athletes are billed on the first of the month and must offer a 30-day commitment. Early cancelation requires 30 days’ written notice to AGUAWaterPolo@asphaltgreen.org.
*Water Polo registration provides access to the assigned Water Polo practices below but does not provide full Asphalt Green Membership benefits. Asphalt Green Members are eligible for a 15% discount on Water Polo Membership. Participation in competition is at the discretion of coaching staff and athlete. Competition fees and travel fees are not included; the team kit is sold separately.
