Asphalt Green is proud to offer soccer, basketball, and recess games after school! Our instructors deliver fun and engaging activities that build fundamental skills and confidence with an emphasis on teamwork and inclusion. We follow age-appropriate lesson plans with specific learning outcomes beneficial to children’s mental, physical, and emotional development.
Asphalt Green’s expertise in these program areas stems from well-established programs that have served tens of thousands of young people at all skill levels for decades. All program staff are cleared to work in schools and receive ongoing training, support, and supervision throughout the year.
ABOUT OUR ACTIVITIES
SOCCER & BASKETBALL
Asphalt Green’s After-school Sports Programs are designed to provide a comprehensive and engaging experience for players of all levels (grades K – 8). The programs emphasize developing fundamental skills, such as ball handling, passing, shooting, and basic strategy. We prioritize learning through playing and provide as many scrimmage and gameplay opportunities as possible.
In addition to promoting physical activity and a love for the sport, we instill in children important values such as leadership, teamwork, and sportsmanship. Above all, we take pride in creating a positive, supportive, and inclusive environment where participants can learn, grow, and have fun.
RECESS GAMES (K-5)
Asphalt Green’s Recess Enhancement Program (REP) has been a staple in elementary schools since 2001. Now we’re bringing these engaging and fun games to the after-school setting.
Our experienced coaches will teach students a variety of games that they can play anywhere, encouraging creativity, leadership, and teamwork skills. Students will enjoy an active and fun after-school experience while developing essential social and physical skills.
