Annual Big Swim Big Kick Event Celebrates Sports and Fitness
On Saturday, May 4, Asphalt Green hosted its biggest annual event, Big Swim Big Kick, at its Upper East Side campus. Over 950 kids ages 6-10 experienced the thrill of jumping into an Olympic-size pool for a 25-yard swim meet and played soccer-themed games on our athletic field.
A little rain didn’t stop the fun. Dynamic Freestyle Soccer Crew gave a lesson to the first 50 kids on the athletic field and put on a performance filled with juggling tricks later in the afternoon. Children tested their skills with soccer darts, soccer pool, soccer tennis, one-versus-one, and more. Inside the AquaCenter kids raced their hearts out to the finish line in our Olympic-size pool. It was a true celebration of sports and fitness, and everyone went home with a t-shirt, medal, and ice cream.
