The Asphalt Green community celebrated spooky season in style this year as our annual free Halloween event, Asphalt Screams, made a triumphant comeback! The weather gave us a scare of its own, but the rain that was forecast never materialized and Friday, October 29 turned out to be a fine, but blustery, autumn day for Halloween fun. 2,300 costume-clad New Yorkers joined us at our Upper East Side campus for Halloween-themed activities.

Ghosts, ghouls, superheroes, witches, and princesses all took over Litwin Field. Kids got active and participated in a variety of festive activities, including spooky soccer darts, monster beanbag toss, frightening football toss, ghoulish gaga, creepy arts and crafts, and more!

Thanks to the generosity of our attendees, Asphalt Screams raised $5,000 to support our free community programs. This year, the event was a success because of the overwhelming support from our community. If you had a blast and would like to support our other free events and programs, you can make a donation here.

We hope you had a spooktacular time! You can see an album with all our pictures of the event on Facebook. Like and comment if you see yourself in a photo! Plus, stay up to date on the latest events for kids at Asphalt Green by following us on Twitter and Instagram
