Held during Summer Day Camp, Coins for Campers is Asphalt Green’s annual coin drive where we challenge campers to bring in spare change to support our Summer Day Camp Scholarships. This year, campers raised nearly $19,000 for Summer Day Camp Scholarships surpassing our goal by $4,000! Our dedicated campers worked hard and literally brought in thousands of dollars in pennies, quarters, nickels and dimes.
To add some fun competition, we had campers at our Upper East Side and Battery Park City campuses compete to see who could bring in the most money. At our Upper East Side Summer Day Camp, the Gummy 3 camp group took the top prize bringing in $1,584. At our Battery Park City Summer Day Camp, the Panda 2 camp group brought in $1,262.37.
Thank you to all of our dedicated campers for supporting the Coins for Campers coin drive and helping new kids have the opportunity to attend Summer Day Camp next year!
We are also grateful to Conrad New York, a sponsor of Summer Day Camp at our Battery Park City campus. At the end of the coin drive, they presented Asphalt Green with a check of $10,000 to support our FIT KIDS FIT CITY campaign.
