David Byrnes

David Byrnes brings nearly 15 years of experience to his role as the Chief Marketing Officer at Asphalt Green, where he leads a comprehensive, integrated program that comprises communications, marketing, and brand strategy. He is a skilled professional with a keen ability to design efficient communications systems and effective marketing strategies, which he has successfully implemented across a diverse range of programs and organizations. David was most recently Vice President of Communications at Educational Alliance, where he oversaw marketing and communications operations for a network of community centers in Lower Manhattan with a $50 million annual budget, offering a mix of fee-for-service and free programs across 14 program sites. Prior to the Educational Alliance, David spent more than a decade as a senior administrator in several NYC independent schools, developing strategic marketing plans tailored to the schools’ communications, admissions, and development goals.

Born and raised in New York, David considers the city’s diversity its greatest strength and is committed to helping build communities that foster a sense of inclusion and equity. David received his B.A. from Amherst College, in Amherst, MA. He currently serves on the Board of Trustees of The Homestead School, in Glen Spey, NY, and is a member of the Advisory Council of The IDEAL School of Manhattan.
