Emilee Christopher
Emilee Christopher, Ed.M., brings more than 15 years of experience shaping inclusive, high-performing cultures and leading people strategy across complex organizations. She has dedicated her career to fostering growth, connections, and meaningful relationships in the workplace and beyond.
Emilee most recently served as Chief of Staff at Public Preparatory Network, where she guided over 300 staff members through a major organizational merger and launched innovative systems to enhance transparency, equity, and professional growth. Emilee’s nonprofit career spans over a decade of experience in human resources, talent development, and organizational leadership, during which she has led cross-functional teams, developed leadership and professional development programs, and championed DEI initiatives that emphasize the power of human connection. In her work, she builds people centered systems and coaches individuals and teams on communication, trust, and personal growth—key pillars of successful relationships.
In addition to her work in education, she co-hosts Daily Dose of Dopamine, a podcast exploring wellness, joy, and the science of relationships. She also serves on the boards of the HBCU Puissance Scholarship and Girl Unleashed, where she supports mentorship/scholarship opportunities and outdoor experiences for young people. Previously, she served as an Adjunct Professor at Baruch College’s Continuing and Adult Professional Studies Program, teaching courses in recruitment, interviewing, teams and partnership development.
As Asphalt Green’s first Chief People Officer, Emilee leads the development and execution of our people strategy, fostering a culture of belonging and excellence, strengthening recruitment and professional development systems, and advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives that reflect the values of the Asphalt Green community.
Emilee earned her B.S. in Child Development & Family Studies from North Carolina A&T State University, where she played Division I Basketball, and her Ed.M. in Education Policy & Management from Harvard Graduate School of Education. Sports remain a central part of her life, finding joy in basketball, flag football, cycling, hiking, and coaching youth sports teams. Emilee resonates deeply with Asphalt Green’s mission, believing that by witnessing athletes from all generations use the same space to improve their well-being, sports, fitness, and play can inspire future leaders and promote healthy and collaborative communities.
