Lazar Ciric
Lazar is a skilled water polo coach with over 10 years of experience. Born in Belgrade, Serbia, he began his water polo journey with Partizan at the age of 10. Later, he explored a passion for basketball, playing for two years at Sacramento City College. However, he returned to Serbia to pursue professional basketball, competing for eight seasons until a back injury led him back to his first love of water polo.
Alongside a few water polo friends, Lazar established his own club, where he coached players and promoted water polo at the grassroots level. He also launched a gym, dedicated to the development of young athletes. Here, he took on personal training responsibilities, enhancing players’ water polo skills, technique, and physical conditioning. During this time, he learned extensively from esteemed coaches like Dejan Savic, which helped him refine his approach to coaching young athletes.
After moving to the USA, Lazar joined Fieldston High School as a water polo and swim coach. He recently completed his fourth season with the team, achieving a winning record in every season and finishing second twice in the New York IVY leagues.
