Matthew Guerrerio
Matthew Guerrerio began his water polo journey at the age of 12 in St. Louis, Missouri, where he played for Saint Louis University High School (SLUH) and was part of two state championship teams. He also competed with the Daisy Water Polo Club, participating in numerous national tournaments.
After high school, Matt continued his athletic career at Fordham University, competing at the NCAA Division 1 level. During his time at Fordham, he was nationally recognized as a scholar-athlete for his exceptional performance both in the pool and in the classroom.
Matt has played for various clubs in both St. Louis and New York City, while also traveling overseas to participate in international tournaments. Following his graduation, he served as the assistant coach for Fordham University’s water polo team and took on the role of head coach for the Hudson Valley Region team, further cementing his commitment to the sport and to developing future water polo talent.
In addition to serving as the head coach of Asphalt Green’s Water Polo program, Matt is also the head coach at Riverdale Country Day School. He is dedicated to bringing the same enjoyable experiences he had growing up to youth players through the sport of water polo.
