Participants engage in guided activities that build coordination, balance, strength, and motor planning through playground-based movement such as climbing, swinging, balancing, and navigating obstacle-style challenges. Sessions also include opportunities to learn and practice common playground and recess games that promote turn-taking, following directions, communication, and cooperative play with peers.

Participants complete an intake form prior to joining so instructors can better understand each child’s strengths, support needs, and goals. Asphalt Green’s classes are designed to support participants with a range of needs including, but not limited to, ADHD, Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, gross motor delays, Down syndrome, and other developmental differences.

The sessions are facilitated by trained instructors and assistants who provide individualized support, prompting, and activity modifications as needed to help participants build independence, confidence, and meaningful peer engagement.
