Prerequisites: Students should have passed our Core Level 2 class or should be able to perform kicking for Freestyle, Backstroke, Butterfly, and basic kick motions for Breaststroke with a kickboard and in streamline, and perform circle swimming for Freestyle and Backstroke.

Students in Core Level 3 will continue to refine and advance skills for all four strokes and kicks as well as develop competitive skills such as circle swimming, underwater streamline dolphin kicks, flip turns, and forward dives. These swimmers will elevate their kicking and swimming skills by advancing drill progressions as well as conditioning through quality repetitions with a mix of skill and speed.

Watch your infant gain confidence in the water in Advanced Water Babies! Following the instructor's directions, you will work with your baby on back floats and rolling from front to back and back to front in the water. Through songs and games, your child will learn how to blow bubbles, hold their breath, submerge, and respond to simple commands like 'kick', 'scoop' and 'splash.' Pool safety is also covered-kids will learn how to enter and exit the water without assistance. We encourage you to complete two sessions of the program with your child to reinforce the skills covered and for your child to get more exposure to water. Parent/guardian must accompany child in water during class.

Intended for new participants: Water explorers will introduce your infant to the joy of water. With the direction of the instructor, you will work with your baby to help them feel comfortable in the water and relaxed on their back and front in the water. Water Babies has a max of 5 participants. Knowing to swim is not a requirement as class are taught in shallow water. Our teaching an exercise pool is kept at between 89- and 91-degrees Fahrenheit. This is the perfect environment to introduce your infant to swimming!

Your child will develop into a more confident, independent swimmer in Advanced Water Tots. In this parent-child class, the instructor will provide you with verbal cues and support holds to encourage your toddler to try new swim techniques. Your little swimmer will learn how to submerge unassisted, blow bubbles while submerged, perform arm motions for freestyle and backstroke, and perform simultaneous arm and leg motions on their front and back. Your toddler will also learn how to respond to safety commands, understand safe pool entry and feel comfortable and happy in the water. Parent/guardian must accompany child in water during class.

Prerequisites: Students should have passed our Pre-School Level 2 class or should be able to float independently, perform Freestyle and Backstroke kicks, and basic stroke motions for Freestyle and Backstroke.

Pre-School Level 3 is designed for toddlers with more advanced swimming skills. This course will focus on refining swim strokes and completing more quality repetitions of our targeted skills such as streamline push-offs, performing arm, leg and body motions for backstroke and freestyle and dolphin kick with a kickboard. Students will utilize equipment and feedback from our instructors to advance these skills.

Join us for Playground Pathways, a fun and inclusive playground skills class designed for children ages 2-15. Held weekly, this class focuses on developing essential playground skills such as climbing, swinging, balancing, and coordination through play, game, and imagination-based activities. Each session includes warm-ups, skill-building activities, guided practice, and cool down with reflections. Our dedicated instructors and assistants provide personalized support to ensure every child thrives and enjoys their playground skill-building!

Participants will be reached out to complete an intake form to ensure we can best support their children. Asphalt Green’s Inclusive Youth Classes are geared toward empowering participants with support needs including but not limited to ADHD, Autism, Sensory Processing Disorder, Gross Motor Delays, Down Syndrome, and more. All classes are open to the public. At Asphalt Green, Everyone Plays.

Students in Core Level 2 will become more precise and well-rounded swimmers. Our instructors will continue to advance swimmers’ understanding of lane etiquette through exposure to circle swimming and more repetitions during each session. Students will review body movement and kicking skills for all four strokes and be taught drill progressions to help cement these skills. Students at this level will be asked to kick and swim with a combination of skill and speed.
