Intro to Swimming is a beginner-level class for students 5 and older and designed for those with no experience swimming. Our instructors will work with the children to learn independence in the water, to submerge, to enter and exit the pool without assistance, breath control, assisted front and back floats. They will also use equipment like a kickboard to help build a foundation of kicking skills for Freestyle, Backstroke and Dolphin Kick, and swimming skills for Freestyle and Backstroke.

Introduce your infant to the joy of water and swimming in Water Babies! With the direction of the instructor, you will work with your baby to help them feel comfortable in the water and relaxed on their back and front in the water. Through fun songs and games, your child will be introduced to submersion, transitioning from back to front and front to back in the water, and leg and arm movements. We encourage you to complete two sessions of the program with your child to reinforce the skills covered and for your child to get more exposure to water. Parent/guardian must accompany child in water during class.

In Pre-School Level 2, our students will become more independent swimmers as they participate in class without a parent in the water and are required to bring and learn to use goggles. Our instructors will teach fundamental swim skills, including unassisted floats, submersion and bobs, and stroke and kick motions for freestyle and backstroke. By the end of the class, kids will feel comfortable entering and exiting the pool without assistance, know how to use equipment correctly without help, and perform more kicking, swimming and floating skills independently.

Watch your infant gain confidence in the water in Advanced Water Babies! Following the instructor's directions, you will work with your baby on back floats and rolling from front to back and back to front in the water. Through songs and games, your child will learn how to blow bubbles, hold their breath, submerge, and respond to simple commands like 'kick', 'scoop' and 'splash.' Pool safety is also covered-kids will learn how to enter and exit the water without assistance. We encourage you to complete two sessions of the program with your child to reinforce the skills covered and for your child to get more exposure to water. Parent/guardian must accompany child in water during class.

Intended for new participants: Water explorers will introduce your infant to the joy of water. Water Babies has a max of 5 participants. Knowing to swim is not a requirement as class are taught in shallow water. Our teaching an exercise pool is kept at between 89- and 91-degrees Fahrenheit. Designed for advanced swimmers, the AGUA Swim League provides a team-like training atmosphere for individuals to refine competitive swim strokes, and build endurance, speed, and confidence. Swimmers will continue to acquire high-level fundamental skills, learn the value of speed and endurance conditioning through quality repetitions, and will advance their abilities with streamline dolphin kick, diving skills, as well as flip turns and open turns.

Your child will develop into a more confident, independent swimmer in Advanced Water Tots. In this parent-child class, the instructor will provide you with verbal cues and support holds to encourage your toddler to try new swim techniques. Your little swimmer will learn how to submerge unassisted, blow bubbles while submerged, perform arm motions for freestyle and backstroke, and perform simultaneous arm and leg motions on their front and back. Your toddler will also learn how to respond to safety commands, understand safe pool entry and feel comfortable and happy in the water. Parent/guardian must accompany child in water during class.

To ease the kids into the separation, we ask parents to participate in the water for part of the term and then gradually transition out of the water completely as the class progresses. In addition to learning independence in the water, your toddler will become comfortable with submersion, entering, and exiting the pool without assistance, breath control, assisted front and back floats and assisted kicking while blowing bubbles. They will also use equipment like a kickboard to help build a foundation of skills.

This course will focus on refining swim strokes and completing more quality repetitions of our targeted skills such as streamline push-offs, performing arm, leg and body motions for backstroke and freestyle and dolphin kick with a kickboard. Students will utilize equipment and feedback from our instructors to advance these skills.

Students at this level will be asked to kick and swim with a combination of skill and speed.
