How Asphalt Green Soccer Club Families Are Celebrating the FIFA World Cup 2026
For Asphalt Green Soccer Club, there’s no time quite like the World Cup. Over the course of eight weeks, we get to witness fans from all over the world come together to celebrate and share our passion.
More than any other competition, the World Cup highlights why Asphalt Green believes in its mission to build community through sports. While we may passionately root for different countries and support different players, we all get to watch the excitement unfold together and share the joy of experiencing soccer on its grandest stage. That’s what makes us love the game.
For many AGSC families, the World Cup isn’t just the best soccer tournament on the planet. It’s the result of a shared passion passing through generations, bringing them closer to one another. Before the World Cup started, we asked AGSC families to share what soccer has meant to them and how they’re taking part in this year’s World Cup celebrations.

How Has Soccer Brought Your Family Together?
Soccer has given our family a shared passion and created countless memories through practices, games, tournaments, and travel. It has taught our children valuable lessons about teamwork, dedication, perseverance, and supporting one another.
Favorite World Cup Memory:
Our favorite World Cup memory was watching the 2022 FIFA World Cup as a family. While our children were still very young during previous tournaments, 2022 was the first World Cup they were old enough to truly understand and enjoy. Throughout the tournament, we watched matches together, talked about the teams and players, and shared the excitement of every stage of the competition. The final was especially memorable and brought us together as we cheered, celebrated, and experienced the emotions of the game as a family. More than any single moment, what made the 2022 World Cup special was the opportunity to create lasting memories together through our shared love of soccer.
