Adult Swim Classes
Come on in—the water’s fine! Our Adult Swim classes welcome beginners just getting their feet wet to seasoned swimmers looking to jump back into the water again.

It’s Never Too Late to Enjoy the Water
No matter your age or skill level, swimming is one of the most low-impact, healthy, and enjoyable forms of exercise. In our adult swim classes, you can enjoy the guidance and support of our certified swim instructors and swim alongside other swimmers at your level in a fun and supportive group environment.
From beginners to seasoned swimmers, from backstroke to breaststroke and beyond, we offer a wide range of class options to support your needs, interests, and goals. However, our entire curriculum ensures you’ll achieve the five developmental components of swimming: comfort, coordination, technique, endurance, and speed. Most importantly, you’ll be able to enjoy a lifetime of safe and joyful swimming wherever you go.

ABOUT OUR OFFERINGS
LEVEL 1: Adult Immersion
Designed for individuals with little to no experience in the water, you will learn basic swim skills to build your confidence including how to submerge and exhale under water, float on your front and back, proper flutter kick and rotary breathing. By the end of this class, you will be able to tread water and feel comfortable in deep water.
Class prerequisites:
Must be comfortable putting face in the water.
Participants will learn how to:
- Flutter kick
- Tread water
- Submerge and exhale under water
What to Bring:
- Towel
- Swim Cap
- Goggles
- Pool deck footwear
- Lock for locker room
LELEL 2: Freestyle
Master freestyle and basic competitive swim techniques in Freestyle 101. You will learn rotary breathing, proper flutter kick, and proper body positioning for freestyle. By the end of class you will be able to swim continuously proper freestyle technique. Freestyle 101 is a small class with a maximum of eight participants.
Class prerequisites:
Asphalt Green’s Adult Immersion is recommended.
Participants will learn how to:
- Proper freestyle technique
- Freestyle 101 will focus on:
- Rhythmic/rotary breathing

LEVEL 3: Back, Breast, and Beyond
Expand your swim repertoire in Back, Breast and Beyond. You will delve deep into proper form for backstroke, breaststroke, dolphin kick, flutter kick and butterfly pull. The instructor will work with you to make sure you have correct rhythm, breathing, and head and body positioning for each movement.
Class prerequisites:
Asphalt Green’s Freestyle 101; must be able to swim freestyle.
Participants will learn how to:
